Cavs Fall 111-108 in Game 3; Six Takeaways from the Loss

1. LeBron James’ Performance

For the just the second time this post season, James didn’t end the night with at least 30 points.

James struggled offensively for most of the game–he wasn’t even in double digits until about midway through the third quarter tonight.

In fact, his final stat line looks almost unrecognizable to what Cavs fans are accustomed to seeing: 11 points, six assists and six rebounds.

While at the podium after the loss, James didn’t hesitate to mince words.

“I had a tough game, period,” he said.

“Me personally, I didn’t have it.”

Cavs head coach Tyronn Lue didn’t view it the same way, saying that “he’s human, so he’s going to have a night like this.”

Lue also didn’t hesitate to give Boston credit where it was due, saying they scrapped their way to a win.

Boston, however, is not counting on James having another similar night in Game 4 on Tuesday.

“He’s the best player in the world, I’m not gonna criticize him one bit,” Celtics head coach Brad Stevens said.
