Cavs’ efficient offense grounds Hawks; three takeaways

3. Efficiency is key

It’s no coincidence that the Cavs’ best passing night of 2017-18 led to some of the best shooting. Cleveland connected on a season-high 48 field goals and shot .558 from the field.

Six players ended the evening in double figures. LeBron James scored a game-high 25 points to go along with his 17 assists, while Kevin Love also had a double-double with 17 points and 12 rebounds. Kyle Korver had 19 points, Jeff Green added 17, Jose Calderon chipped in 14 and Jae Crowder rounded out Cavs’ players in double-digits with 13.

Even without Dwyane Wade, the main source of the Cavs’ offensive bench production, the Cavs still combined for 51 bench points.

With their 123 points tonight, the Cavs have now scored at least 100 points in 21 consecutive games.

All in all, Tuesday was a perfect example of just how efficient the Cavs offense can be… so imagine what it will look like when they can finally throw Isaiah Thomas into the mix.
