The Cleveland Cavaliers picked up right where they left off from May of 2016, dominating the Toronto Raptors, 116-105, in Game 1 of the 2017 Eastern Conference Semifinals.
In last year’s Eastern Conference Finals, the Cavs won all three home games in Cleveland in blowout fashion.
The game had many of the same features as the three games last year.

Once again, LeBron will pick up his fine (just like he did when Jones was ejected and suspended last year against Toronto), only this time, instead of the fine being $80, it’s two-thirds of Jones’ salary – $6,000.
“I had to have a talk with Dahntay,” James said after the game.
“I said, ‘Now, listen, Dahntay. Enough is enough. Stop getting kicked out against Toronto all the time. I gotta’ stop paying your damn fines.'”

It was that kind of night in Cleveland. The Cavs are showing no sign of worry against a team that some believed would put up a bigger fight than last year, when they took the series six games.
Raptors coach Dwane Casey was asked after the game about his team being “dominated,” whenever it comes to Cleveland.
He took exception to WHBC Radio host Kenny Roda’s question.
“Dominate’s a tough word…I don’t know if you’re a fan or what it is. But I wouldn’t use the word dominate…”
A reporter says the Cavs ‘dominated’ the Raptors in Game 1.

Whatever word Casey would rather use, the Cavs have defeated the Raptors in four straight Playoff games in Cleveland by an average of 25 points.
We’ll see if Game 2 is any different on Wednesday night at 7 pm.
