According to Alex Kennedy of Hoops Hype, the Cavs have held discussions of potential trades involving Iman Shumpert with several teams.
Shumpert is under contract through the end of the 2018-19 season and will make roughly $21.4 million over two seasons.
Shumpert’s value may not be what it was before he signed that four-year $40 million contract, but he still is drawing interest from multiple teams.
According to Sam Amico, the Cleveland Cavaliers and Houston Rockets have discusssed a trade centered around Shumpert, in which the Cavs would not be receiving a player in return, but would be looking to free up some cap space and possibly receive a draft pick along with a trade exception.
We’ll keep you posted on more news as it develops.
