As Matthew Dellavedova departs from Cleveland for Milwaukee, the Cavaliers don’t come away empty-handed. As first reported by Chris B. Haynes of Cleveland.com, the Bucks receive Dellavedova and the Cavs receive a $4.8 million trade exception along with the rights to 34-year-old Albert Miralles. a 6’9″ forward/center who currently plays in Spain.
It may not seem like much, but considering the Cavs were going to lose Dellavedova anyway, the trade exception could prove to be useful and who knows if Miralles will ever set foot on an American basketball court from this point forward.
Cavaliers general manager David Griffin issued a statement thanking Dellavedova for his service in Cleveland:
“We wish Delly the best as he continues his career in Milwaukee. Delly is a special person on and off the court and was a very dedicated, hard worker that grew as part of our team and made significant contributions to our success. Our coaches and his teammates will always appreciate his ‘all in’ approach to the game, as he was ready to contribute whenever his number was called. We know he will continue to grow and succeed as he takes the next steps of his NBA journey with the Bucks.”

Good fortunes, Dellavedova. No Delli-treys when the Bucks play the Cavs.
