He was by far and away the voice most associated with the Cleveland Cavaliers for over 40 years, serving as the play-by-play man during the best and worst for the wine and gold franchise.
Joe Tait is a legend in the broadcast industry, serving as the radio voice of the Cavaliers since their founding in 1970, with the exception of a couple seasons in the early 1980s and for a good part of the 2010-11 season due to illness.
He walked away from the broadcast booth on April 13th, 2011, and since then has made few public appearances and has been for the most part, quiet, since leaving the booth.
For those that have missed Joe, he’s back, not necessarily behind the mic, but in a new medium, that being an official Twitter account in which he will keep fans up to date with his comings and goings.
He began the account on Wednesday, announcing that he’s going to be on hand at the Eastlake Sports Card Show on Saturday, December 1st.
