2. Poor offensive night
The Cavs had their worst shooting game of the season, going just 28-of-88 from the field, or 31.8 percent. Their previous low came against the Knicks on Oct. 29, when they shot 38.3 percent. It also didn’t help that the Cavs committed 14 turnovers (the Warriors had one more), and that the Warriors had eight blocks.
After having a 28-24 lead at the end of the first quarter, the Cavs went just 3-of-24 from the field in the second. In fact, after going 11-of-25 in the first frame, Cleveland shot just 17-of-63 for the rest of the afternoon.
The transition game was also a big advantage for Golden State, who had 33 fast break points compared to nine for the Cavs. They also beat Cleveland in the paint, 44-20.
As a result of all of the above issues, the Cavs’ streak of scoring 100+ points ends at 26 games.
But despite the offensive woes, the game was tied at 92 with two minutes to go.
