1. Dominant defense
The Cavs came in and absolutely smothered the fifth-highest scoring offense in the league. They held the Sixers to just 91 points and 36-of-96 shooting from the field. Philadelphia also connected on just three of their 28 3-point attempts. In the opening half, they held the Sixers to 0-of-11 from three-point range, marking the first time this season the Cavs have done that.
Overall, Cleveland did a good job of playing one-on-one defense, with that effort being sustained regardless of who was on the court at the time. As a result, they continued to make their rotations and limit the Sixers’ drives into the lane.
Perhaps the play that best sums up that effort? Dwyane Wade blocking big-man Joel Embiid in the final quarter.

But that complete defensive effort also helped to lead to their offense.
