The Cleveland Cavaliers played like one would expect the defending champions to perform against a rebuilding Miami Heat team missing six key players.
Cleveland cruised to a 114-84 victory
Kevin Love, who was a game time decision prior to tip-off, appeared to have no problem with his back, as the power forward scored a game-high 28 points and grabbed 15 boards.
LeBron James scored 27 points, passing Elvin Hayes to move into ninth on the NBA’s all-time scoring list.
Kyrie Irving scored 23.
Our Role Player of the Game is DeAndre Liggins, who started for J.R. Smith and once again proved he can hang at the NBA level.
Liggins scored only five points, but provided great defense and played 26 minutes, something that not many would have foreseen happening just two months ago.
Liggins continues to carve out a role with every game and even when Smith returns, he is showing he can be trusted to play valuable minutes.
The Cavs host the Charlotte Hornets on Saturday.
