3. Another Chance to Win a Series
Wednesday the Indians will get a shot to win the series against the Jays, sending Danny Salazar to the mound for a 7:07pm first pitch.
The Tribe has dropped the first game of the last four series, but in all but one of those series they have rallied to win the last two games to win the series.
Now at 18-14 on the season, the team is 1.5 games up on the Twins for first in the AL Central, and for as bad it seems as the offense has been thus far in May, they have still found a way to win four of their first eight games of the month.
No one has seemed concerned about the lack of offense in May thus far, and once again Tuesday it seemed like the team was able to find a way to push runs across, scoring two in the second inning, and then while Carrasco dominated, the offense finally broke the game open with a run in the 7th and three in the 8th.
Six runs was the most runs the team has scored since the 12-4 win on April 30th. Since then, the team had not scored over three runs in one game, and in three of the eight games they scored just one run.
Let’s see if they can win the series on Wednesday, get back to Progressive Field at 19-14, and maybe start to get a streak going as they host the Twins and Rays.
