After a tough game last Saturday in which he was pulled, the Buckeyes will go back to Cardale Jones at quarterback this week when they take on Western Michigan at the Horseshoe Saturday.
Jones played just three series in the teams 20-13 win over Northern Illinois. In the game he went 4 for 9 for 36 yards and two interceptions.
He was replaced by J.T. Barrett, and never got back into the game. After the game he went to Twitter to proclaim that he was now the Buckeyes’ backup QB.
For now though, that’s not the case as he’ll be under center for Ohio State when they take the field.
.@OSUCoachMeyer: Cardale (Jones) is going to start at quarterback for us. Someone has to beat someone out. Both are ready to go. #GoBucks
