Count Browns wide out Kenny Britt, whose done little to deserve the big four-year deal worth $32.5 million dollars he inked with the Browns this offseason, as one of those not happy about playing overseas in London this Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings.
Britt, who thus far has pulled in 10 passes for 128 yards and one touchdown, has prior experience playing across the ocean when he was a member of the Los Angeles Rams, and said it was not a good experience.
Via ESPN Britt had some pretty strong words about the NFL’s idea of playing some of their regular season games in London, disrupting teams that are use to a normal weekly schedule.
“I hated London, hated it,” Britt said to ESPN. “I hated it with a passion.”
“I hated everything about it,” Britt said. “I hated the flight. I hated us being there so long. I hated the flight back. I hated the food.
“You can ask my wife the same thing, and she’ll give you the same answer.”
Was there anything he liked about it?
“Nothing,” he said.
Britt sure doesn’t mind committing the robbery of the $1.6 million he got as a signing bonus from the Browns, or the $4 million in base salary he’s making this season from the team – but playing overseas, yeah that’s just no fun for the 28-year-old wide out who week in and week out doesn’t seem to be the most popular player wearing Brown and Orange.
