Browns VP of Football Operations Sashi Brown: “We Are Not Focused on Wins and Losses This Year”

The truth has finally come out – the Browns (at least the guy running the show in the front office) doesn’t care about winning games this season.

Yes, in a rather blunt and telling article today on SI.com by Jenny Vrentas, she talks about the only winless team in the NFL, the Browns, and their struggles this season that includes their Executive VP of Football Ops, Sashi Brown, putting out a statement today that is making national news.

“We are not focused on wins and losses this year.”

Wow.

Yes, we all knew that based on the roster purge and the fact that the team used the draft to move up and down to try and get picks for the future meant this year would be painful, but no one could have looked at the team being winless after ten weeks of play.

One of the few vets left on the team, Joe Thomas, gave another telling quote about how tough this season has been, and how he feels things have been progressing with the new look Browns.

“I have never seen anything even close to this,” Thomas said. “It is probably one of the most extreme rebuilds in NFL history.”

That’s an understatement, as the team has a roster full of players that most Browns fans have no idea who they are.
