Arizona- The Cleveland Browns were one of several teams in the league to attend Odell Beckham Jr’s practice on Friday. Along with the Browns, the Jets, Patriots, Giants, Rams, Cardinals, 49ers, Bills, Chiefs, and Vikings were there.
Beckham Jr. held the workout for NFL teams as he’s been away from football for over a year. A torn ACL has kept him out of the game and with free agency a few days away he wanted to show how he’s recovering.

While the wide receiver and Cleveland didn’t part on a good note, the Browns are in need of another receiver. It was widely rumored that Beckham Jr. was unhappy with former Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield. Odell’s father went so far as to make the now infamous video to display what he felt was the lack of targets to his son.
Once Beckham Jr. left Cleveland he allegedly told other players around the league not to come to the Browns. Is that solely due to his feelings toward Mayfield? Reportedly he’s been saying he’d love to play with Deshaun Watson.
He’s not been as consistent over the past few seasons. In 2019, was the last year he had over 600 receiving yards. There seem to be younger and more promising options at receiver for the Browns. However, it would make for an interesting story to have Beckham Jr. return to Cleveland with Watson under center. Both Watson and Beckham Jr. were elite early in their careers. If they can both end up donning orange & brown AND return to that form in 2023…LOOK OUT!
