4) More Turnovers but for Minimal Points
The Browns defense recorded their 21st and 22nd turnovers of the season against the Steelers today and like so many times this season, the offense couldn’t do much with them. Early on in the first quarter, they turned a Derrick Kindred interception into a field goal to take a 6-0 lead. Later on, after Pittsburgh fumbled on their opening possesion of the second half, Cleveland proceeded to go three-and-out.
Last week against the Buccaneers the Browns snagged four turnovers and managed to score a single touchdown off of them. Oh and then there was their first meeting with the Steelers where a whopping seven turnovers were converted into a single touchdown and one missed field goal attempt in overtime. So it’s nothing new for the Browns. Scoring off of opponent turnovers has been an Achilles heel for this team all season.
