With the NFL Draft two days away, there are still plenty of rumors about the Browns and what they are going to do with their first round pick.
Various reports say the team is chatting with a number of NFL teams about moving down in the first round, looking to add more picks later in the draft to build depth.
Something that is also still being bantered about is the status of Washington Redskins unhappy offensive tackle Trent Williams.
Williams is a player who would be a perfect fit for the Browns, as they need help on their offensive line, a position last year that simply didn’t live up to expectations and saw quarterback Baker Mayfield running for his life much too often.
ESPN’s Josina Anderson tweeted out Tuesday morning that making a deal for Williams is “still on the table,” but also that “Nothing is imminent or super close right now.”
I’m told acquiring Trent Williams is “still on the table” for the #Browns, per source today. "Nothing is imminent or super close right now," but the #Browns are keeping their thumb on the situation–meaning something still may, or may not happen w/Trent before or after the Draft.

So don’t be stunned to see the Browns load up with a couple offensive linemen in the draft, but also if they can get Williams, it will for sure be a win for the team as they look ahead to this upcoming season.
