CLEVELAND, Ohio- As free agency advances on, the Brown and Orange have decided to lock up one of their current pieces for the future.
According to Adam Schefter, the Browns and Left Guard Joel Bitonio have agreed to a contract extension for the offensive lineman to stay in Cleveland.
Browns are signing G Joel Bitonio to a monster extension, per source.

Bitonio missed most of last season due to a Lisfranc injury as well as the last six games of the 2015 campaign. When Bitonio is out on the field, he certainly makes a difference and plays a big role in the Cleveland offensive line.
The Bitonio extension comes a year after the Browns watched Center Alex Mack and Right Tackle Mitchell Schwartz leave and sign somewhere else, both players playing for playoff teams last year.
The Browns have addressed the Bitonio situation early it seems, trying to build a strong offensive line from this point forward.
