The Cleveland Browns made their first trade of the draft in the second round, as they swapped picks with the Indianapolis Colts. The Browns gave up their 64th overall pick in the second round for the 67th pick, also known as the third pick in the third round. Cleveland also acquired the 178th overall pick this year.
So after moving down, the Browns selected Miami defensive end Chad Thomas with the 67th overall pick.
Thomas was a problem on the defensive line for opposing offenses, finishing with 103 tackles including 26 tackles for a loss. Along with the superb tackling, Thomas also added ten sacks in his collegiate career for the Hurricanes.
Along with being a talented player, Thomas also served as the captain for the University of Miami. That makes sense with what the Browns are trying to build with this new roster.
