Browns Release Statement Regarding Isaiah Crowell Apology

It took some time, but the Browns have come out with a statement regarding the situation with running back Isaiah Crowell and his apology after he deleted a picture on Instagram with a police officer having his throat slit.

Here’s the teams’ statement via Pro Football Talk:

“We have spoken to Isaiah regarding his extremely disturbing and unacceptable social media decision,” the team’s statement said. “It was completely inappropriate and we have made him aware of our high level of disappointment. Isaiah has apologized but also knows that just an apology is insufficient and that he must take steps to make a positive difference after a very negative and impactful post.”

It can’t help Crowell’s standing with the team, and the majority of tweets tonight seem to want the running back flat out cut after the post on Instagram.

If you missed the apology that Crowell himself put out earlier on Monday – you can read it HERE.
