Browns running back Kareem Hunt is not only sidelined for the first eight weeks due to a suspension, but now will miss extra time after having hernia surgery.
RB Kareem Hunt will not play in tonight’s preseason finale against the Detroit Lions. Hunt underwent surgery this morning to repair a sports hernia injury. A full recovery is anticipated prior to his return to action in Week 10 of the regular season.

Hunt came to the Browns this offseason but due to a suspension from the league would not be eligible to play till after the eighth week.
The latest news looks like he won’t play till after the teams game at home against the Steelers.
