The Browns have yet another off the field issue on their hands, as they are answering tonight for running back Isaiah Crowell for his Instagram post showing a man dressed in all black slitting the throat of a police officer.
Here’s the post from Crowell, which has since been deleted.

Crowell has released a statement through the team stating he is sorry for his decision to post the picture.
“It was an extremely poor decision and I apologize for that mistake and for offending people,” Crowell said in a statement released by the team. “My values and beliefs do not match that image.”
“We have to be better as a society. It’s not about color, it’s about what’s right and wrong. I was very wrong in posting that image. Every single life matters, every death as a result of violence should be treated with equal outrage and penalty.”
The picture was posted after the killing of Alton Sterling in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and Philando Castile in Falcon Heights, Minnesota. It was up before the killing of five Dallas police officers on Thursday night.
The Browns themselves have yet to release any type of statement regarding the matter.
There are plenty of opinions on twitter regarding Crowell and what he did, here are just some of the tweets:
Just heard about the IG of Crowell. Usually I am not easily offended by free speech issues, but this is over the top. He should #BeGone

Catching up on the Isaiah Crowell stuff. I don't care how good he is or how much he's projected to play, he should be cut for posting that.

Hey, @Browns and @NFL: If you don't severely punish this hateful jackass, I'm through with you. https://t.co/AT70fdWiXR

I just saw what Isaiah Crowell posted. I will never cheer for him in any capacity. He's garbage. Scum. #BrownsThrowHimOut

Isaiah Crowell is a piece of trash. I hope he gets cut and never finds a job again.
