It’s another honor for Browns rookie quarterback Baker Mayfield, and today he was named AFC Offensive Player of the Week for his performance Sunday against the Bengals.
In the Browns win Sunday Mayfield completed 27 of 37 passes for 283 yards with 3 touchdowns and a 121.9 rating.
His excellent 73.0 completion percentage was tops in the AFC and 3 TDs were tied for the AFC lead for the week.
The rookie was so good Sunday Browns fans were chanting his name at one point throughout the stadium.
With one game left in the season, Mayfield is ranked third all-time with 24 touchdown passes as a rookie, and he’s just two behind the record.
It’s been quite a season for the first overall pick in the last NFL Draft, as he’s been named Pepsi Rookie of the Week 5 times and NFL Offensive Rookie of the Month in November.
The Browns and Ravens meet Sunday at 4:25pm in Baltimore.
