Take this with a grain of salt, but a notable bookmaker is predicting that the Cleveland Browns will move to London, England “within five years.”
Here’s an excerpt from a report coming out of London, courtesy of the UK-based Evening Standard.
Steve Baumohl, a co-founder of bookmakers Redzone, said he had a “sneaky feeling” the Ohio team would be the first to move across the Atlantic to capitalise on American football’s booming popularity in Britain.
Speaking at a Thanksgiving party at Kensington Roof Gardens hosted by Redzone last night, he said he was confident that London would have its own franchise “within four to five years’ time”.
He added: “I have a sneaky feeling about a team. I think there’s a chance the Cleveland Browns could come over. It could be the perfect time for them to come over.”
It’s just one opinion and it’s easy to pile on to the Browns with stuff like this, but if they do end up moving to London, this guy could end up making a lot of money on that bet.

Will never happen. Browns are stuck in their lease through 2028 and the league won’t want to endure another Browns move after the fiasco back in 1995. There are a lot of other teams that are more likely.
