The Cleveland Browns drafted wide receiver Corey Coleman in the first-round of this year’s NFL draft. The Baylor product is extremely talented and ready to produce in any way possible.
While at training camp, Coleman and Tramon Williams have been practicing returning punts as part of an exercise. This may possibly be a new role that Coleman has to learn and practice to get more playing time in 2016.

While this is still up in the air and the Browns have not made a decision yet, the organization does feel comfortable fielding their first-round draft pick on punts. The question still remains if this is a good idea to place one of your best receivers (until Gordon comes back) on punt duty.
Coleman will become the number two receiver in week 5 when Josh Gordon returns from his suspension. There is always a possibility of Coleman getting hurt on special teams and not producing where he matters most: on the offense.
