It’s Christmas Eve and you know what that means: the Cleveland Browns are due for their first win of the season. Okay, not quite, but you understand what I’m getting at.
A year ago on this date, the Browns earned their first victory of the 2016 campaign to avoid going 0-16. They have that same chance today, this time on the road in Chicago against the Bears.
They’ll have to do it without their best cornerback, Briean Boddy-Calhoun. For the third straight game, Boddy-Calhoun will not be on the field to help isolate the opposition’s passing attack. The former Jacksonville Jaguar has been superb this year in one-on-one coverage and Cleveland will certainly be feeling the impact of his absence once again today. Look for Kai Nacua to step up in Boddy-Calhoun’s role today and look to at least do half of the service that the starter does on a weekly basis.
