The Cleveland Browns fell to Indianapolis Colts 31-28 today in Indianapolis and it was an ugly game to say the least for the Orange and Brown. There was oodles and oodles of mistakes and youth showing through in this one.
Let’s look at the three takeaways from this one:
1. Kizer Showing Signs Of Inexperience Once Again- DeShone Kizer looked a lot better than last week against the Ravens but sti showed his youth today. The quarterback had three picks on the day to go along with his three touchdowns but the turnovers certainly outweigh the touchdowns. With eight dropped passes from his wideouts today, Kizer cannot receive the entire blame. But he’s the head of the offense and it will be interesting to see how he will respond next week.
2. The Crow Struggles Again– Forty-four yards on twelve carries for Isaiah Crowell. So for a guy that really wants the ball more and a contract extension, he sure isn’t playing like it. It’s almost pitiful how poorly he’s playing and the way it’s looking, the Browns will have a new running back next year.
3. The Defense Gets Exposed- It was a terrible day for Gregg Williams and the rest of that young Browns defense, as they allowed Jacoby Brissett and the Colts’ offense to have a field day. That was rough today for the team, allowing 31 points and watching as they walked through the secondary. Jabrill Peppers had a terrible day and this was the most hurt we have seen the team without Myles Garrett.
