Browns End Zone Sign Gaffe Gets National Attention – “GPODAWUND”

CLEVELAND – The Browns on Sunday played a hard fought 31-28 loss to the New York Jets to drop to 0-8 on the season, but the headlines the team made was off the field with a rather boneheaded mistake when it came to trying to display a sign in the stands.

The sign, or course, was supposed to read “This is the Dog Pound,” but somehow two parts of the sign got mixed up, and instead it read something like ‘GPODAWUND’ which is now a new trend on Twitter.

Every week the fans are given part of the sign to hold up in first timeout of the first quarter, with the other end zone sign reading “We are Cleveland.”

The messed up sign took place in the Dog Pound, the west end zone.

Of course there’s plenty to joke about with an 0-8 team, but it didn’t take long for fans and the National Media to start to pour on the Browns latest gaffe.
