While the Browns and Eagles 5-0 barnburner on Thursday night wasn’t all that exciting to watch for fans that like lots of points, fans did watch, drawing the biggest ratings for a preseason game in six year.
The game at First Energy Stadium drew a whopping 4.2 rating and 6.52 million viewers on Fox, the second-most watched preseason affair since the 49ers-Broncos game back in 2012 drew a 4.5 share and 7.1 million viewers.
How big is that number compared to the same time last season? How about 367%, as last year a preseason game between the Dolphins and Eagles drew a 0.9 share and just 1.4 million viewers.
The Browns have become a team to watch with the squad being featured on HBO’s ‘Hard Knocks’ as well as with first overall pick Baker Mayfield.
