The Cleveland Browns have had a rather healthy training camp up until this point, with the opening week of the regular season just less than a month away. So today’s news out of Berea is disheartening.
Nose Tackle Danny Shelton will miss some time during the regular season with a knee injury. Shelton missed today’s practice with the reported knee injury and will be monitored weekly to see how he progresses. Shelton had 59 of his career 95 tackles last season, getting his first career sack during the 2016 campaign as well. Shelton really started coming into his own during the end of last year, having a lot of success clogging up the middle with fellow lineman Jamie Meder.
Shelton went to Twitter to send positivity regarding his injury, ensuring he will be back and is excited about this season.
All will be good. ?? Still focused on a great year this year! Go Browns! ??#Browns2017 #ImmaDAWG #Woof

The Browns have had a few other injuries over the last couple of days, as linemen Joel Bitonio (knee) and Cam Erving (calf) will miss Monday’s game against the New York Giants with lower body injuries.
