Browns DE Carl Nassib Continues To Look Solid; Discusses His Performance against Falcons

The Cleveland Browns drafted defensive end Carl Nassib in the third-round of this year’s NFL draft. The product from Penn State just really wants to make an impact on this Cleveland Browns roster and has made the most out of his preseason snaps.

So far in the preseason, Nassib has earned himself two sacks, a force fumble and a recovery; quite impressive for a rookie athlete. Nassib talked about his performance after the game and is a man of very few words.

The young athlete discussed one major thing and it was quite simple he doesn’t really care about statistics and said, “I don’t really care about stats, I just want to win games and help my team more next time.”

Nassib also stated that the Browns defense needs to stop the run and do a better job at the line of scrimmage. Which is 100% true and needs to be somewhat fixed before the regular season opener against the Philadelphia Eagles, who have some solid running backs in their backfield.

Well that was easy enough Nassib, who are you Marshawn Lynch when you talk to the media? All jokes aside, the young defender looks poised for a breakout season, that is if head coach Hue Jackson plays him during the regular season.

Jackson told the media, “We’ll make that decision as we go, Obviously, he’s doing some good things, and he needs to continue to get better and keep growing.”

If Nassib can continue to provide consistent pressure on quarterbacks like he has been, the young athlete will continue to earn reps and be a dominant force on this football team. Him earning more snaps is sort of a mystery right now, but he is looking quite solid and it seems like Hue Jackson likes what he is seeing.
