What started as a simple tweet after the Cavs topped the Celtics in game seven of the Eastern Conference Finals has turned into a huge twitter viral sensation – thanks in part to new Browns safety Damarious Randall.
Randall put himself in some serious fiscal hot water after he sent out a tweet stating that he would by a jersey for every fan who retweeted him IF the Cavs beat the Warriors in the NBA Finals starting Thursday night in Oakland.
If the Cleveland Cavaliers win the 2018 NBA finals I’ll buy everyone who retweet’s this a jersey…

The tweet has already set a record as the most one tweeted tweet by any NFL player in history, and that was when it had been retweeted 643,000 times.
It’s now been retweeted close to 800,000 times.
As ESPN sports business reporter Darren Rovell put it – Randell is on the hook (as of now) for at least $25 million (IF the Cavs win).
As of 4:30pm ET, Damarious Randall is on the hook for $25 million in jerseys, if the Cavs win.
That assumes the cheapest licensed jersey in an adult size for everyone who RT'd ($75 for Swingman)
Randall has two years on his deal with the Browns worth a total of $10.1M. https://t.co/JqXjNyd7to

“Obviously, it was a joke, but just to know how passionate this fanbase is, it’s definitely encouraging,” Randell said on Wednesday speaking to the media in Berea.
Kind of makes you think Randall is going to be a Warriors fan for the next two weeks of the NBA Finals.
