The Cleveland Browns claimed second-year safety Tyvis Powell off waivers on Monday.

The 22-year-old native of Bedford, made three tackles in his rookie season with the Seattle Seahawks.
Powell was signed by the Seahawks as an undrafted free-agent after attending Ohio State for four years.
As a redshirt sophomore at Ohio State, Powell was named Defensive MVP of the 2015 College Football National Championship in the win over Oregon, after making a game-high nine tackles.
Powell played in eight games with the Seahawks in his rookie year, before being waived on Jan. 3.
