Browns Beat Up at Home by the Bolts as Chargers Slam Cleveland 38-14; Five Takeaways

3. How About Another Vet or Two at Wide Out?

The youth at the wide receiver spot was more than evident Sunday for the Browns, as they had just three healthy wide outs after Rod Streater left the team in the first quarter with a shadtinger in his neck.

The threesome of Jarivs Landry (2 catches 11 yards), Antonio Callaway (2 catches, 9 yards) and Damion Ratley (6 catches, 82 yards) were the only three receivers on the field to catch passes.

Landry in six games has 32 receptions for 392 yards and one score.

“We just have to find a way. Have to find a way,” Jackson said of Landry.

“Obviously, that is not good enough. I would like to see how they were covering Jarvis, but we have to find ways that he can catch it and the rest of our guys. We have to catch them. We have to give them a chance to get open.”

The team is looking at receivers all over the place, but they either can’t stay healthy or can’t get on the field for whatever reason.

There were quite a few tweets during Sunday’s game again lamenting the team trading Josh Gordon, who caught a TD pass last week, to the Patriots.
