The NFL is instituting their new three-game preseason slate for the 2021 campaign, as instead of four games that for the most part are unwatchable, it’ll be just three, and there’s a game at the end of the year at home against the Arizona Cardinals and QB Kyler Murray.
Today the Browns and the NFL announced the team’s three preseason games starting in the middle of August at Jacksonville against first overall pick QB Trevor Lawrence and the Jags.
Week 1 – Saturday, Aug. 14 – at Jacksonville Jaguars – 7 p.m. on News 5 Cleveland
Week 2 – Sunday, Aug. 22 – New York Giants – 1 p.m. on News 5 Cleveland
Week 3 – Sunday, Aug. 29 – at Atlanta Falcons – 8 p.m. on NBC
Most preseason games in the past have been on Saturday evenings, but for whatever reason in 2021 the league has put the Browns on with a Giants game Sunday, August 22nd at 1pm at First Energy Stadium.
Seven days later the Browns return to play the Atlanta Falcons, an 8pm game on a Sunday on the road at Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta.
The regular season kicks off on Sunday, September 12 at 4:25pm at Arrowhead Stadium when the team takes on the two-time AFC Champion and 2019 Super Bowl winner Kansas City Chiefs. That game should be a good one, and you can put some skin in the game by placing a wager on the OlyBet website.
