5. Browns 24, Raiders 21, Oct. 1, 2006 at Oakland:
The pickings are slim here. You could go with the Browns’ 23-9 win over Oakland on Dec. 27, 2009 in Cleveland — the weak case for that being that it was the third of four straight Browns wins to close the season and allow Cleveland to finish 5-11 and coach Eric Mangini to keep his job for another year.
But, it’s this rather inconsequential 2006 game simply because the Browns rallied from a 21-3 deficit. Charlie Frye threw touchdown passes to Darnell Dinkins, Kellen Winslow and Joe Jurevicius as the Browns notched their first win of the season after three losses. Frye completed 22 of 32 passes for 192 yards. Reuben Droughns ran for 100 yards on 25 carries and Josh Cribbs returned two kickoffs for 118 yards.
The Browns went 4-12. The Raiders were 0-3 after the loss and finished 2-14.
