Browns 5 Most All-Time Memorable Wins Against the Chiefs

5. Browns 35, Chiefs 17, Sept. 24, 1995 at Cleveland

This was the Browns’ last win at home before it was learned several weeks later that owner Art Modell would move the team to Baltimore. The win made the Browns 3-1, but they would close the campaign 5-11. They got one more home win, besting the Cincinnati Bengals 26-10 in the final game at Cleveland Stadium on Dec. 17 to become 5-10.

Earnest Byner’s 7-yard touchdown run helped the Browns lead 7-3 at the half. Their biggest lead was 35-10, after Vinny Testaverde touchdown passes of four yards to Andre Rison and three yards to Byner, and interception touchdown returns of 18 yards by linebacker Gerald Dixon and 24 yards by linebacker Mike Caldwell.

Testaverde was 21 of 36 for 204 yards. Byner had 59 yards on seven receptions and 38 yards on nine carries. Keenan McCardell’s six receptions picked up 85 yards.

Kansas City, still coached by former Browns coach Marty Schottenheimer, took its first loss in four games. The Chiefs ended the regular season with the NFL’s best record, 13-3. They lost their first playoff game. though, 10-7 to the Indianapolis Colts in KC.
