Browns 10 Biggest Needs Heading Into 2017

8.) Strong Safety

Strong Safety saw a rotating mix of players in 2016. Those included recent late round draft picks Ibrahim Campbell and Derrick Kindred as well as Ed Reynolds. While there could be some promise with Campbell or Kindred, but when compared to other starters on the team it is pretty weak. The secondary was torched through the air and they need a safety that can come up and play in the box against the run too where the Browns have been in the bottom three for years.

9.) Tight End

Gary Barnidge put together a solid season seeing that Pryor and Coleman both emerged as other options for the QB and the revolving door at QB with injuries. Besides Barnidge nobody else has stepped up as another option. Over the last two years the other TEs have combined for 21 catches 222 yards and 3 TDs. Seth Devalve showed some sign for potential over the last couple games but he has a lot to still show and Telfair was not that great as a blocking TE. The team may have to try and pull another rabbit out of the hat this year in a solid TE draft class.
