The Cleveland Browns have a quarterback situation that required head coach Hue Jackson to take his time to correctly name the right athlete for the job.
According to the Browns, Robert Griffin III is now the official Browns starting quarterback for the 2016/2017 NFL season.

While this was expected the entire time, Jackson just wanted to make sure he was choosing the correct athlete.
Last season, quarterback Josh McCown threw for 2,109 yards and earned 12 touchdowns to only 4 interceptions before getting injured. Griffin III is coming off of a 2015 season he would like to forget. He didn’t play a single snap after the Washington Redskins named quarterback Kirk Cousins their starter. Cousins took the Redskins to the playoffs for the first time since 2012, the season when Griffin III was just spectacular.
This move was necessary and should get Browns fans excited for the upcoming season.
