The Cavs have a logjam at the guard spot. Rose,IT, Shump, JR, Kay,Calderon..will they make some moves..will they have to make room for Wade?

The Cavs have typically kept a roster spot open the past three seasons in case a situation arises that would allow them to sign another big name, or even a key role player. If they are healthy and if the trade is not vetoed, Thomas and Derrick Rose will both get playing time. If Thomas is unable to start the season, expect Rose to start.
I would also expect J.R. Smith to retain his starting spot. Jose Calderon will likely see little time in rotation.
Of the guards you listed, Kay Felder will likely have a two-way contract and spend a large portion of the season in Canton with the Charge.
There were reports on Friday of the Cavs shopping Iman Shumpert, and as we saw towards the end of last season, Shumpert became expendable in head coach Tyronn Lue’s rotation anyway. But, if the Cavs do deal Shumpert, it most likely would involve acquiring another player besides Wade.
Since the Bulls are likely going to reach a buyout with Wade, it is highly unlikely that the Cavs will go out of their way to trade for him. Wade would have to leave a lot of money on the table in Chicago, but don’t underestimate his friendship with LeBron James, and his desire to win one last championship.
