3. Week Three – September 20th vs New York Jets
It’s the game that many have earmarked as a ‘must win’ for the young Browns, a Thursday night prime time game at home against the Jets under the lights.
Last season many felt that the Jets game at home was a game where the Browns would get their first ‘W,’ but instead in week five the team fell 17-14, as Josh McCown threw a pair of scores and DeShone Kizer struggled going 8-for-17 for 87 yards with a pick.
The Jets are again expected to be a team that is going to struggle finding wins, but they know they can win in Cleveland, so they won’t have a lack of confidence heading into First Energy Stadium.
One key could be Tyrod Taylor, who knows the Jets well from playing with the Bills, and his ability to put some points on the board and avoid the type of mistakes that usually stop the Browns in these types of games.
Getting a couple turnovers of their own wouldn’t hurt the Browns, they lost that battle 3-1 in last seasons loss.
