The Euclid Panthers got back to .500 on Friday night, as they won a hard fought game against a game Strongsville Mustangs squad, pulling out a 66-42 win.
The final score did not indicate how close the game was, as the Mustangs pulled within two at 37-35 with 2:38 remaining in the 3rd quarter.
The Panthers took over from there, as they outscored the Mustangs 29-7 over the final 14:38 to pull out the 24-point victory.
Strongsville still was hanging tough after three quarters, trailing by just six at 44-38, but the Panthers dominated the final quarter scoring 22 points to just four for the Mustangs.
Garvin Clarke had a big night for the Panthers, as the led all scores with 21 in the win. Octavius Hardy helped out in the victory with 13 points.
The Mustangs with the setback fall to 0-9 on the season.
Euclid will be in action on Tuesday night at Mentor against the Cardinals at 7:30pm.
Strongsville will host the Medina Bees on Tuesday night at home, with a tip-off at 7:30pm.
