The Holy Name Green Wave were in control all night against the Padua Bruins, cruising to an 81-62 victory.
Holy Name (3-0) is proving to have one of the most prolific offenses in the area, as the Namers have scored 70 or more points in all three games this season.
It was clear early on that Holy Name would not drop a home game to its rival, and the Green Wave jumped out to a 22-8 lead by the end of the first quarter and the game was never really in doubt.
Sean Hickey led Holy Name with 20 points, while junior guard Dwayne Cohill scored 19.
Cohill has been the engine of the team in all three games, averaging 27 points per contest, but five players reached double figures in the win over Padua.
Kevin Peterson was one of three Bruins with ten or more points, scoring 15 on the night, but Padua’s offense couldn’t keep up with the Green Wave and its defense couldn’t slow the Namers down.
Through three games, nobody else has been able to either.
