Villa Angela St Joseph (VASJ) scored six rushing touchdowns in the first half as they went on to defeat Gilmour, 49-13 on Friday night.

VASJ got on the scoreboard with 9:57 left in the first quarter when quarterback Kylan Steuball ran for a 10-yard touchdown to make the score 7-0.
VASJ scored again on a 67-yard touchdown run by Amani Powell with 7:20 left in the first quarter to take a 14-0 lead.
Bo Jackson then got VASJ’s third rushing touchdown of the first quarter on a 52-yard run to put VASJ ahead 21-0 with 5:02 left in the first quarter.
VASJ scored their fourth rushing touchdown of the first quarter on a 55-yard run by quarterback Kylan Steuball with 4 minutes left to go in the first quarter.
With 1:37 left in the first quarter Gilmour scored on a Cooper Panteck 37-yard touchdown pass to make the score 28-7.
VASJ added a 3-yard touchdown run by Bo Jackson with 2:37 left in the first half to take a 35-7 lead.
VASJ would score again right before halftime as quarterback Kylan Steuball scored on a 16-yard touchdown run to put the Vikings ahead 42-7 heading into halftime.
Andy Kavcic scored from the one yard line for Gilmour with 5:22 left in the third quarter as that touchdown made the score 42-13.
VASJ then scored again on a Bo Jackson 16-yard touchdown run with five minutes left in the third quarter to make the final score 49-13.
With the victory, VASJ moves to 4-1 on the season and will likely be ranked number two in OHSAA Region 9 heading into a week six matchup with McDowell from Pennsylvania.
Gilmour moves to 4-1 on the season and will host University in week six as they will likely maintain their top ten ranking in OHSAA Region 9.
