Bieber Stops the Yankees as Indians Early Offense Enough in 6-5 Win; Three Takeaways

1. Calm, Cool Bieber

Indians starter Shane Bieber put up his best outing since joining the starting rotation, stopping a Yankees team that put up six runs on Tribe ace Corey Kluber on Thursday night.

He was staked to a four-run lead, and went while he did allow three runs, he was still very good, striking out six, walking two and allowing five hits in seven innings of work.

Bieber threw 99 pitches in the win, 64 strikes, and got ahead in counts which is a key against a big offensive team like New York.

The Tribe rookie is now 5-1 on the season, his ERA sitting at 3.74 on the season following the win.
