This week’s NEOSI player of the week award goes to Berea Midpark Quarterback Trevor Bycznski.
Coming off of a missed week due to injury the prior week against Avon Lake, Bycznski made up for missed time with a monster game on Friday night in a 45-43 shootout victory over rival North Olmsted.
He passed 242 yards, 3 touchdowns on 17 of 28 passing. His biggest target was Luis Vega with 2 touchdowns, one of 22 yards and one of 21. He saved his best for last however, as with only 3 seconds left and trailing North Olmsted 43-39, the Titans had the ball on the Eagle 30 yard line with one last shot.
Bycznski dropped back with pressure in his face to complete a dramatic Hail Mary tipped pass to Kameron McCoy to win the game.
It also must be mentioned that his tailback had one heck of a game as well. Tyrese Holland ran the ball 32 times for 252 yards and scored 4 times.
The 3-5 Titans will look to stay hot this week as they travel to top ranked Avon to take on the 8-0 Eagles.
