The OHSAA boys’ Division 1 playoffs got underway on Wednesday evening, and Berea-Midpark took care of business with a 63-54 home victory over Barberton.
Sophomore guard Jayson Levis led the Titans’ scoring with 22 points, including 10 fourth-quarter free throws to help put the game away. Senior guard Lucas Petrus added 4 high-arching three-pointers for 12 points.
Magics’ senior Tony Fox, scoring from all angles to the basket, notched a game-high 28 points as Barberton’s season came to an end.
Berea-Midpark advances to the sectional final game vs. St. Edward on Saturday night in Lakewood.
