NORTH ROYALTON, Ohio — The North Royalton defense has found a groove in a big win over the Parma Redmen. The Bears displayed Brilliant defense throughout the night. Getting turnovers, dominating the boards, and constant pressure with great rotations. The constant pressure on both sides of the ball led to a rout of 62-31 over the Redmen.
Wanna talk about getting off to a fast start? The Bears got off to a 10-0 run to start the game. Led by No. 23 Sr. Max Glass. Fitting last name. Max was all over the place. Not only was he the leading scorer for the Bears with 23 points. But also was getting rebounds all night long, and made sure his presents was felt at all times. Max started the game off with 6 straight points. Which help the Bears get off a 14-7 at the of the first quarter.
Wanna know what’s an even better start to a quarter? Going on an 18-0 run. The Bears led at one point 28-7. At this point in the game. The Bears got some balance scoring from No. 1 SR. Evan Neczypor with 12 points. 13 points from No. 13 Sr. Brandon Kyle. The Bears finished the half with a 34-13 lead.
The same story continued through out the second half. The Bears continued their dominance on the defensive end. Turning defense into offense all night long. Giving them a big win of 62-31.
For the Redmen, it was a struggle and ugly for them. The Redmen struggled from the field all night long. it seemed like the basketball was moving and they couldn’t get a basket no matter how close they were. The bench carried the scoring for the Redmen tonight. No. 2 Jr Zach Gronowski had a team high 5 points. The bench outscored the starting unit 23-8
The Bears improve to 7-5. While the Redmen fall to 6-6. Up next for North Royalton, a quick trip to Stow Munroe Falls on Friday at 7:30 pm. Parma will also play Friday hosting Rocky River at 7:30 pm.
