2.) The Streaks Are Broken
Tonight the Indians bats were nearly silenced, which is strange after the week that had heading into the game.
The streaks of 11 straight games with a home run, 9 straight games with 5 or more runs scored, 9 straight games with 10 or more hits, and 12 straight games with 2 or more hits with runners in scoring position have all been snapped following tonight.
The Indians did not hit a homer tonight but came close when Lonnie Chisenhall hit a fly ball to left field in the second inning but was caught at the wall.
The team also had been shutout for the second time this season at home both times against the Twins and only managed to get 4 hits. Along with Chisenhall, Daniel Robertson, Edwin Encarnacion, and Bradley Zimmer contributed a hit tonight. Zimmer was the only Indian to hit a double.
Lastly, the Indians were 0-8 with runners in scoring position and left 11 runners on base altogether.
