1.) Bauer Beaten Up in the 2nd Inning
In the second inning of tonight’s game, Indians starting pitcher Trevor Bauer, underwent a difficult inning. Bauer gave up four of his 8 hits in that inning and allowed 4 earned runs.
Following Bauer’s second inning he went on to allow only one more run in the ballgame which was an unearned run.
Following Brian Dozier’s RBI double in the second inning, Bauer went on to retire the next eight batters.
Bauer falls to 3-1 this season in his four starts against the Minnesota Twins and holds a 3.81 ERA. On the season Bauer falls to 6-6 and now has a 5.53 ERA.
Bauer pitched 6 2/3 innings, gave up 8 hits, allowed 4 earned runs (5 total), 1 walk, and 4 strikeouts.
