3. Bauer Impressive Again
Say what you want about the loss, but you have to be impressed once again with the way Trevor Bauer threw the ball for just over seven innings for work.
He didn’t walk a batter, struck out nine and allowed just one run on seven hits, and was able to mix his pitches well and worked out of any traffic.
In Bauer’s last three starts he’s allowed five runs in 20 innings with five walks and 21 strikeouts. This is the type of pitcher the Indians will need down the stretch, and right now he’s only behind Corey Kluber when it comes to Indians starters throwing the ball well.
Here’s a tweet from Jordan Bastian of MLB.com about how impressive Bauer has been in the last few outings. It was just a shame the offense couldn’t give him more in the setback.
